LUMO Digital Outdoor has welcomed two new hires across its account management and operations teams as part of the company’s continued efforts to expand its digital offerings and meet the increasing demand for Digital Out-of-Home.

Rex Carpenter joins the operations team to help manage LUMO’s growing national network of screens. He joins LUMO from the Radio Bureau where he worked as a media planner.

“LUMO is leading the way in Digital-Out-of-Home and constantly setting the benchmark for the industry in New Zealand. Joining LUMO is an exciting step into the next phase of my career, and I’m stoked to be joining the team,” says Carpenter.

LUMO has also recruited Rob Law who joins the business fresh out of the ARA Broadcasting Institute of Canterbury, graduating with a Bachelor of Broadcasting Communications. In his new role he will will be supporting the sales team with reporting and audience insights.

“I’m looking forward to this next phase of my career at LUMO, supporting the sales team with industry leading data and insights – to create the best campaign results for clients,” Law says.

The new hires come as LUMO switched on its 43rd digital billboard earlier this month in Riccarton, Christchurch. A figure that will grow to 50 by October as LUMO continues to invest in their digital billboard network and technology innovations.

For Phil Clemas, CEO of LUMO, these new faces come at a poignant time for the DOOH provider.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be welcoming Rex and Rob to the LUMO family to meet our growing demands. Like all of our LUMO team, we look for talent that has the X-factor when it comes to understanding their patch. Rex and Rob are bringing with them some amazing skill sets, energy and attitudes, we can’t wait to see that applied within the LUMO team.”

“Both step into these new positions during an important time of growth for LUMO; We’re on track to unveiling our 50th screen this October and rolling out a number of tech solutions that will move the channel forward,” Clemas says.

These two new appointments are part of the business’s current recruitment drive with LUMO on the hunt for two additional roles for the sales department to support growing demand for DOOH within New Zealand.
