LUMO Digital Outdoor finished 2017 on a high with the launch of its sixth premium LED billboard in Auckland’s Khyber Pass Rd, right on its first birthday. “Last year was a whirlwind but we were very pleased with the progress made in our maiden year and are now focused on year two which will be all about building more Screens and scaling up our media inventory to become more competitive and influential” states Phil Clemas, LUMO’s CEO and co-founder.

“Our plan is to create a ring of digital billboards around Auckland’s CBD supported by carefully selected sites in Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch. Confirmed to date are the licenses and resource consents to complete the Auckland ring by October with Hamilton and Christchurch already operational. Finding the right sites in Wellington and Tauranga is a current priority” continues Clemas.

Last month’s launch of LUMO’s new twin-set screens on Newton Road, Grey Lynn (inbound & outbound) was the start of a significant roll-out this year which will soon position LUMO as New Zealand’s leading premium digital billboard operator. “Being 100% focused on large format digital outdoor creates the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge, capability and innovation without being distracted by other formats” states Clemas.

“Growing scale and quality inventory is just the start of the LUMO story. What ultimately drives us is the creative upside digital outdoor has to offer advertisers and agencies.”

LUMO’s partnership with Ports of Auckland will see their ninth digital billboard launch in late March and their tenth Screen will go live in June. “By November, we will have over twenty premium digital billboards operating in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Christchurch with Wellington going live in early 2019. Momentum is certainly accelerating” states LUMO’s sales supremo Kent Harrison.
