Old ways won't open new doors
"The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new" -- Socrates
We embrace that thinking. It's why everybody in the LUMO team gets out of bed in the morning. To be at the forefront of a new digital age - one that provides an ever changing canvas and encourages fresh creative possibilities.
Who we are
Co-founder & CEO
Phil has been involved in media for most of his working life. Some even saying he’s a veteran of the industry but that just makes him sound old. Phil’s passion for outdoor media started when he joined APN Outdoor in 2008 as GM. Over his time there he worked with some amazing people and introduced digital outdoor media to New Zealand, but it’s what’s next for this space that excites Phil most and is why he and Kent started LUMO Digital Outdoor.
Co-founder & Executive Vice President
Kent fell into the outdoor advertising space 15 years ago and has never wanted to leave. The evolving nature of the medium, the characters associated with the category and the clients who have evolved into friends over the years have kept Kent passionate about the outdoor space. LUMO Digital Outdoor is at the forefront of evolving digital billboards into smart information providers and has a clear strategy to lead this charge over the coming years.
Design & Technology Executive
Jamie pictures himself as a young, up and coming outdoor specialist. As a creative Jamie’s learnt his trade from industry leading professionals and built an in depth understanding of the business behind outdoor media. Working with World Summit Award winning digital teams and Out of Home powerhouses has driven Jamie’s passion for the outdoor space and he’s excited to take it to the next level with LUMO Digital Outdoor.
Media Sales Director
Stacey launched her career in outdoor back in 2006 starting as coordinator for what was then Look
& Buspak which later changed to APN Outdoor. Over the years, Stacey grew her knowledge for OOH
and built some core relationships throughout the industry. Stacey loves the OOH industry and says
there is never a dull moment even more so now with the way digital is changing the landscape. It is
clear to see Stacey loves what she does and most importantly enjoys seeing when campaigns come to life.
Agency Account Manager
Zac has been surrounded by media his entire life. Growing up with a father who was a radio broadcaster and a mother who spent much of her working life in media sales, Zac was always destined to end up in a career in media. After a short stint with LUMO late last year, and impressing the owners, Zac found what that career pathway should look like. He was offered a permanent sales position soon after and the rest, as they say, is history. Zac is excited and is ready to make a big impact.
Agency Account Director
Jack graduated from University of Otago with a B.Com in 2011, majoring in Marketing and since has enjoyed a busy six year career in the media agency world. Over those years, Jack worked with many interesting and challenging accounts including Air NZ, McDonalds and American Express just to name a few. He is highly respected and admired by his clients and peers alike and brings a wealth of media experience to the business. Jack is most excited about the creative possibilities digital outdoor offers and in particular, LUMO’s innovative and disrupter attitude.
Senior Account Manager
Liv, an Otago Graduate, always saw herself working in the creative and dynamic media industry. Her career kicked off on agency-side in 2010 but before settling down for the long-term, Liv decided on a hiatus to go see the world. Liv spent her mid 20s travelling and working on super yachts experiencing the glitz and the mundane. She eventually landed in Australia and jumped at the opportunity to work for Australia’s youngest and fastest growing retail DOOH company in Sydney. The experience of working with technology, agencies, clients and a rapidly expanding business was exhilarating and a great learning platform for selling media. After almost 3-years, Liv decided to return home. She joined LUMO soon after and is very excited about taking her career to the next level.
Sarah has joined the team at LUMO with a number of years͛ experience as a coordinator and support person within the media industry. She first entered the world of OOH back in 2008 with Eye Corp as their Operations Coordinator and immediately discovered how much she enjoyed the industry while helping to manage multiple campaigns and creative ideas. After taking some time out to focus on her young family, Sarah was eager to get back into the dynamic outdoor advertising sector when an opportunity with LUMO presented itself. Sarah is passionate about her role and is excited to be working with such a forward thinking and inspiring team.
Chief Technology Officer

In 2013, Robin returned to the UK and joined one of the largest outdoor media agencies, working on many of the largest digital projects and installations across the UK and Europe. These sites, including the iconic Piccadilly Lights, have become some of the leading technology sites in the world. Over this time, Robin kept in regular contact with both Phil and Kent and when offered this CTO role at LUMO, he jumped at the chance to join this fast-growing DOOH enterprise. He will share his knowledge and experience with the LUMO ‘s internal and external teams and he is looking forward helping advertisers explore the amazing creative opportunities LUMO's digital network has to offer.

Ben is well-liked and respected right across the agency spectrum and loves being part of the LUMO family from his side of the ditch. He is already sharing the LUMO story and he can't wait to help advertisers and agencies in the Australian market realise the potential LUMO has to offer them in the premium large format digital billboard space in NZ.
